Math Olympiads

November - March:
Math Olympiads is an international math enrichment program where students take five contests once a month from November through March. Each contest consists of five fun but challenging, open-ended math problems. The students scores for each grade level from Iroquois are submitted to the Math Olympiads organization for comparison with other individual schools across the country and internationally. Certificates of participation and awards for high scores at each grade level are presented at the end of the year. Students interested in furthering their knowledge of mathematics are welcome!

In late October / early November, students in math class are invited to sign up and attend an informational meeting. Interested students must obtain parental permission since the contests are held after school (upon elimination of Advocacy period). Before the first contest in November, the team is registered and closed to further applicants.
